35w

Well, we've had another scan, and seen the obs again...

Rohan is officially "Macrosomic", which basically means the GD has made him a very large baby. And at 9 pound (4.1kgs), he is. I also have a condition called "polyhydramnios", which is excessive amniotic fluid. This in itself comes with it's own complications, including risk of early breaking of waters, prolapse cord and respiratory issues for Rohan.

So now I'm officially a 'high risk' pregnancy/delivery... so ...

We'll be 'delivering' Rohan by Ceasarian section some time between the 12th and 19th of October. We haven't firmed up a date yet, because they can't book me in until 1-2w before they're going to do it. So that'll be booked in visit after next (which is the 5th Oct)..

So my bag is 3/4 packed now, just need my pj's made and another pair of pants for daytime... and maybe a new pair of shoes.. ;)

Now, to get my own head around having major abdominal surgery.....

I will be having one taken tonight.. I promise.. so will post it then!

A little exciting news in the mean time..

Rohan can now be felt externally. :D His little aerobics now produce waves and bumps in my belly to be felt by all and sundry!

Ooh.. haven't I been NAUGHTY!!

I have so much to tell too!

Our 19w Morphology scan went really well. Bub is just fine, nice and active, no signs of any abnormalities.. (yay!).. And ... JB is.... A BOY!!! We're having a little laddie .. :D No mistakes either.. he gave us a good flash ;)

Nursery preparations are underway. We have ordered most of the furniture, we have a good start on manchester, my Mum has layby'd us a car seat, and the Pram is on order. Paint colours have been chosen, a wallpaper border has been bought, as well as curtain material and a few decorations..

WOO!

Okay.. it's been a while since I've posted.. oops...

JB is doing well. We LOVE the heart doppler, it's our little connection to baby..

Only 5 more days until we find out bub's sex, and give JB a *real* name.

This is me at 18w1d. Getting sooo big!! :D

Blood pressure is good, which is a relief. I'm hoping I don't develop GD or PE. Apart from the MS and the couple of scares (and the possible IC thing), it's been a pretty good pregnancy... so far.. ;)

We got a doppler delivered yesterday. Hired it from Firstbeats for the next few months.

It's SO easy to use! We heard our bubbas heartbeat!!

It was soooo cool!!
