My mum just surprised me with a maternity outfit from Pumpkin Patch! SO CUTE!

The jeans are 3/4, but I'm going to let them down so they're full length.

8:56pm - Results are in

I finally got a hold of the pathology results from a couple of weeks ago. The 'tissue' was just a blood clot, so nothing to worry about.

Our NT scan is in 3 weeks, and we're looking forward to that.

Well I'm out...

I've outted myself in public, so here I am :D

We're very excited and are taking each day as it comes, that's all we can do.

Tomorrow is our first obs appointment, which I'm a little nervous about. But there you have it.

7.00pm - Photo time!

Okay, here's my first belly pic.. I didn't take an earlier one to compare it to, which was silly of me. But I've thickened through the middle.

5.21am - Birthing Centre Tour

The Birthing Centre tour last night was GREAT! The midwife giving the tour answered all our questions about the different types of care, and even made us think about questions to ask our obs next week about changing the type of care we get between obs/midwives.

The birthing suites are lovely and it's definitely an atmosphere that I would feel comfortable bringing our child into the world in.

But today, I get to go to work to hand over to a temp for the next 5 weeks.

8w

8.00am - Mini Milestone

WOO!

8w is actually a little WOOHOO day for me. No particular reason why, just seems like it should be.

We've known for just over a month that we were expecting, and it's a month until we hit 12w.

So I guess it's kind of a half way mark of sorts.

Anyway, today I start making some maternity cloths. My pants & jeans are no longer comfortable, and I could do with some new tops.

7.27am - Bedrest City

Well, my work is concerned about mine and JB's wellbeing, so they're putting me on 'special leave' until just after easter. At which time we'll be starting into our 13th week.

So there's very little going to be going on between now and then, except a birthing centre 'tour' and an obs visit, and possibly an NT scan.

I'm going to start taking some belly pics soon, and possibly some measurements (eek!).

6.59am - Another loooooooooooong day

Stats:
RTC - 12.6mm
HB - 153bpm

Well, wasn't yesterday a doozy!

After a mid morning nap, I woke up with more bleeding, but no pain. I got my husband to come home from work, and we went to see our local medical centre, and got a referal to get an ultrasound.

On the way to the ultrasound, something felt wrong, so we jumped back in the car and went straight to the nearest emergency unit.

Well, we got there and I HAD to go to the bathroom, at which stage I passed something which they sent to pathology to find out what it was.

Everyone in emergency was lovely. I can't say this enough!

I was given a little room in emergency, and I slept for a little while, then was put on a drip, given an internal exam and then sent off to ultrasound.

We saw baby with the transabdominal ultrasound, which was nice. DH picked it out on the screen straight away. The image wasn't clear enough, so we had an internal ultrasound. And I have to say, we had a male sonographer, and he was the most gentle sonographer I've ever had! Well, baby came up, heartbeat was clear, no perforations in the gestational sac, placenta was in tact.

YAY! Clean bill of health for Jacobeanie!!

Mummy, however, is on bedrest for another week.

And Daddy, is being an absolute saint :D

2:10pm - Goin' back in time!

Stats:
RTC - 9.6mm
HB - 133bpm

Well, didn't little JB give us a scare this morning! I woke up with a sharp pain and a little bright red bleed. We went straight to emergency and were monitored, the bleeding petered off, and there was no more pain, so we were released but had to come back to have an ultrasound.

So we did, and saw little JB's hearbeat! JB was measured and we're one day out with our calculation from the first ultrasound, so we're 6w6d.

All the bits looked good and in place, so now I'm on bedrest for a few days, and light duties in everything until 13w.

6:46am - I could live without the upchuck...

Blech. I don't mind the whole nauseous thing, I can live with not feeling like food but forcing myself. But this throwing up thing, I could do without.

It also seems like by 6am, I've nothing left in my stomach anyway, so I'm not actually throwing anything up.

It's so draining.

Having said that, if I have to upchuck every other day to keep this baby 'stuck' until it's cooked, then so be it. I'll deal.
